As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect on a year marked by meaningful change and steady growth. This year, we made the important decision to close our disability practice, a significant chapter in our firm’s history that helped shape who we are today. Although that transition was not easy, it allowed us to focus our energy and resources on expanding our personal injury practice, where we have achieved remarkable progress. It has strengthened our ability to advocate for those who need us most. Throughout the year, our team embraced new challenges with resilience and optimism. We expanded not only in size but also in experience, skills, and shared purpose. Looking

forward, we are excited about the new members

joining our firm in 2026 — professionals who will bring fresh perspectives and help us elevate the service we provide. With growth comes responsibility: to our clients who trust us with their most difficult moments, to our team who supports each other through every case, and to our community that we are proud to serve. As we enter the new year, we do so with gratitude,

ambition, and a steadfast commitment to making a meaningful difference.

Sincerely,

Offices in Luling & Metairie, La. (985) 240-9773 www.LJBLegal.com

WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

WELCOME KATE TO THE LJB LEGAL TEAM Kate moved to St. Charles Parish in 2012 as an elementary school student and has loved the strong sense of community here ever since. She graduated from LSU with a degree in mass communication and a minor in psychology. She wanted a role that combined communication, empathy, and a deep understanding of people. At LJBLegal, Kate uses these strengths to support clients with positivity and compassion. Her background in mental health and her years of customer service experience help her make clients feel comfortable and cared for during difficult moments.

 “I had gotten in a wreck. It was my first accident, and I did not know what to do. They told me we did not need to call the police, but later they changed their story. That is when I called. The first person I spoke to was Miss Emma, and then Mr. Jerry called me and explained what was going on. He told me what to expect and kept me updated. I could not ask for a better experience from this law firm and these kind people. I will use them again if anything like this ever happens again.” – Josh Ward  “I had a driver collide into my side, right into the driver door. I had never been in a serious accident before, so I was a bit lost. I didn’t know what I could do or how to handle the matter, so I got a full recommendation to talk to Loyd’s firm and got assigned Jerry’s team. That was the turnaround point for all of this. Jerry and his team were patient, kind, and saw to my every need during this process. They carefully explained everything, so I feel as though my experience was clean, simple, and efficient. But more than that, I felt as though I could count on them through this entire process. Thank you to Loyd Bourgeois, and thank you to Jerry Lassalle for getting me all the help that I needed.” – Derrick McClain

Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and her cat Margo. She also loves writing fiction, crocheting, painting, watching her favorite shows, and playing video games. We are excited to have Kate on our team and look forward to the kindness and energy she brings to our clients and our office.

LJBLEGAL HONORED AT LSU100

For the second year in a row, LJBLegal earned a spot on the LSU100 list of the fastest-growing Tiger-owned-and-led businesses. We ranked ninth last year and eleventh this year. Seeing our name on that list again reminded me that our growth has been steady and intentional. It is not the result of a single big case. It reflects consistent effort and a team that genuinely cares about the families we serve.

When I started this firm, Lindy was pregnant with our third child. I intentionally

the business. The success we are seeing today stems from the groundwork laid in those early years and the dedication of our entire team. Their commitment to our clients and our community enables this firm to continue moving forward. Thank you to our team for the heart they bring to each case. Thank you to our community for trusting us during some of the most challenging moments of your lives. And thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. We are proud of this recognition and even more proud of the people behind it.

kept things small so I could coach ball, attend school events, and be present in every part of my kids’ lives. Those years shaped how I run this practice. They reminded me to keep my priorities in the right place and helped me build a strong foundation for what came next.

REID'S JOKE CORNER

I once told a chemistry joke at a holiday party, but I didn’t get much of a reaction.

As our children have grown older, I have been able to devote more energy to growing
