Customer Testimonials
“Dear Rommel, Chad, George, Ann, and the Entire MAAG Team , I wanted to take a moment to express my enormous appreciation for the outstanding support your team has provided during the procurement and delivery process for the spare parts required for the Alpek Polyester Witte prepolymer pumps.
I am also incredibly grateful for the seamless communication and timely updates from George Vince, Malcolm Warlick, Marc Rathmann (really appreciated your support in Germany) and Ann Schultz, which made the entire process much easier to navigate. Your efforts to ensure the parts were ready for pickup, despite the challenges, reflect your team's dedication to excellence. Please extend my thanks to everyone involved in making this process a success. Your partnership and support are invaluable to our operations, and we look forward to continuing this excellent collaboration in the future. Rommel Mayer, thank you very much for all.” Your dedication and commitment have been instrumental in ensuring we could proceed with this critical activity for our shutdown. The level of detail and attentiveness shown during my visit to the MAAG facility in Ohio was exceptional. From the warm welcome and plant tour to the office accommodations and coordination with your team, every aspect was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. A special thanks to Chad Ross for hosting me and ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Sales Meeting in CLT
Finance Team Development The Finance team met over two days at the Kyle House in Fincastle for a team building exercise. It was a good opportunity for the team to discuss and align the department’s strategy for the future and to align our objectives towards a common goal. It was also a nice way for the team to better understand each other as individuals while socializing and having good food!
Continuous Update of MAAG Facilities
0DOVER Training MAAG Americas teams continue to participate in 0DOVER process intended to improve our SEE standard. Tiered Meetings Structure enables production oversight & support. A complex production process requires a mixture of leadership, governance and management. A Tier 1 Accountability Meeting brings together individuals from both the process and support areas to collaboratively address the daily operational challenges faced on the shop floor. The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure that immediate issues are resolved efficiently, fostering a seamless workflow.
To enhance our operational visibility, a Production Day-by-Hour Board has been deployed. This tool provides real-time insights into the day’s schedule and monitors progress throughout each shift. By leveraging this system, we can promptly identify deviations from the plan and implement corrective actions to restore the process to its optimal state. This proactive approach ensures that any disruptions are swiftly managed, maintaining productivity and efficiency.

Safety Message
Hobbies Sam Hostetter , the Warehouse Leader in Eagle Rock, has devoted much of his life to mastering the craft of woodworking. At just nine years old, he was introduced to this art by his grandfather, who had a small woodshop and ignited Sam's passion for building. Throughout high school, he honed his skills in carpentry classes and took on the role of teacher's assistant in his senior year, demonstrating his commitment to the craft. Following graduation, Sam further refined his expertise during a rigorous seven-year carpentry apprenticeship, establishing a solid foundation for his woodworking skills. During his apprenticeship, Sam and his mentor undertook the remarkable task of restoring five Civil War- era log cabins. These historical treasures, primarily sourced in West Virginia, were meticulously dismantled, with each log tagged to ensure accurate reconstruction. Their commitment to period-correct restoration was unwavering, preserving the integrity and history of these cabins. Each project showcased the authentic mortise and tenon method of joinery—an art form that eliminates the use of screws, ensuring a genuine connection to the craftsmanship of the past! Also, during his time as an apprentice, Sam built custom wood furniture and acquired extensive knowledge in electrical work and plumbing.
With Sam's full-time employment at MAAG, EGR location, he has found a meaningful way to utilize his free time by focusing on enriching his family's living space. Together with his wife, they are lovingly restoring their house built in 1890. One standout project was their stunning kitchen remodel, featuring exquisite custom-built wormy chestnut cabinets and butcher block countertops. Through these projects, Sam is not just improving a house, but truly transforming it into a home for generations to come.
Sam is currently working on two projects. The first is a stand for his son's Legos, featuring four removable trays arranged in a tower. This design not only provides a workspace for building but also serves as a display area for the finished creations. The second project involves transforming their den into a home theater. It will be equipped with a large-screen TV, power recliners, a pool table, a foosball table, and a dartboard. Essentially, it's shaping up to be everyone’s dream man cave! While Sam was between jobs, he utilized his skills to create and sell custom-built wooden products. One of his creations was a concealment shelf, which is essentially a floating shelf with a false bottom that provides a hidden storage area for securing valuables. Additionally, he collaborated with his wife to create wooden decorations for the Easter holiday. I asked Sam if he would consider taking custom orders, but unfortunately, he turned me down. He mentioned that his work commitments and personal projects are taking up all his time. However, I truly believe that once he finishes his house, he could have the perfect opportunity to explore a side hustle in custom woodworking. Many of us would love to support him and keep him busy!
