THE KI NG ' S B VSI NES S tain across from Saul and his army and showed the spear and cruse of water, and called over and asked why Saul’s soldiers had not watched more carefully over their king. When King Saul heard this he knew David’s voice, and he called David his son. Then David asked Saul why he kept following after him to kill him, as he had done nothing wrong? When Saul saw his spear and cruse of water with David, he knew that David had been right by his side and could have killed him, but David’s heart was filled with God’s love and he would not hurt even his enemy. Then Saul confessed to David that he had sinned greatly, and asked David to return and said that he would not hard him any more, for David had considered Saul’s life precious. So David went home and Saul took his soldiers and went home

and did not follow David any more. You see David loved his enemy and did good to him. (Teach memory verse.) Closing Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, fill our hearts so full of Thy love there will be no room for evil feelings of hatred.
