Chamomile Nusz is an agent for change working to create innovative opportunities in public education. She has witnessed the effects of inclusion and ensuring all stakeholders have a voice within school communities. Her work is tied to sustainability and positive impacts on educational structures. Chamomile is a co-owner of Circle Education LLC, a consulting service for innovative education. She works with the Wisconsin Resource Center for Charter Schools (WRCCS) supporting the development of high-performing charter schools throughout the state of Wisconsin. She is the Membership Director for the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education, supporting over 60 schools throughout the United States. Chamomile was a founder of the Tomorrow River Community Charter Schools (TRCCS) in 2012 and served as the executive director of the TRCCS Elementary, Middle, and Virtual Schools until 2021. Under her direction, the schools received multiple grants and certifications including the U.S. Department of Education’s National Green Ribbon Schools Award in 2014. Prior to becoming involved in Waldorf Education, she was the executive director of a renewable energy cooperative and owner of a dance studio. Chamomile received her Masters’ in Education from UW-Stevens Point (UWSP). She attended Evergreen University in Olympia Washington and then the University of Minnesota Twin Cities graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Women Studies with a minor in Dance. Chamomile is also the 2021 recipient of the UWSP Oscar W. Neale Fellowship.
