Amanda Woldt

EDUCATION • MSW in Social Work UW-Milwaukee • BSW in Social Work UW-Green Bay

ENROLLED • Cohort 8

LOCATION • Green Bay, Wis.

Amanda has been practicing social work in Northeastern Wisconsin since 2014. She has always been a curious observer of human interactions and knew that a career path involving investment in relationships would be a worthy challenge. While working through graduate school, she was privileged to learn from exceptionally bright and fearsome women that challenged Amanda to lean into use of self as change agent. Amanda has practiced in a variety of clinical settings, and ultimately found a professional home working with families. She did direct practice for several years before taking a supervisory role, mentoring new professionals in that same work. Amanda has been wildly fortunate in her experiences and credits her delight in the pursuit of advancing practice to her passionate, talented colleagues. The importance of equitable access to resources, and sense of belonging within one’s community cannot be understated. As a social justice driven practitioner, emphasis on inclusion and respect are at the heart of consultation. Amanda has found that barriers to successful coaching with that framework is most often institution as challenge, not knowledge gaps in new professionals. In this, transformative engagement and supporting authentic and diverse perspective has proven crucial. Amanda cultivates joy in the narrative of her career and strives to share the tools she’s acquired with developing social workers. She is thrilled to encourage new professionals in the evolution of their unique talents in her full-time role, and as a part-time educator with a local college. Amanda aspires to advance service to families through the incorporation of adaptive, values driven, person-centered professional development programming.
