MacDonald Ranch customers from around the region brought an outstanding set of females to the 15th Annual Genetic Partners Salers Influence Commercial Female Sale at Napoleon Livestock Auction in Napoleon, ND. We were very pleased with the impres - sive quality of the 290 head of bred heifers and heifer calves that passed through the ring. There are three main objectives to the Genetic Partners sale: 1) To establish a sale offering of commercial Salers-cross females from known genetic backgrounds that will gain a reputation as one of the premier sources for commercial replacement females in the region. 2) Get as many commercial Salers-influenced females in the hands of commercial cattlemen in the region as possible so they can experience first-hand the value of Salers-cross females in their cowherds. 3) Provide an opportunity for our customers who have invested in the genetics to build strong maternal cowherds to capitalize on the extra genetic value in their high quality replacement females. Thank you to the buyers and especially the consignors who were willing to consign some of their best cattle to this event. Planning is already underway for the 2027 sale.
