The Details of Retained Revenue-Sharing Semen Interest Rights You may notice in footnotes throughout the catalog that we have noted “retaining 1/2 revenue-sharing semen interest” on a number of bulls. This generally means that these are bulls we are interested in sampling through artificial insemination in our own cowherd. We usually collect semen on these bulls on our ranch after the sale and before they are delivered to you. There is no expense to the buyer and we will not let collecting semen interfere with your using the bull for natural service. If at some future point we are able to market semen on the bull, we will share the net revenue generated after expenses on a 50/50 basis with the buyer.
