Area Sales Manager - Northern Ireland

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To actively maintain and develop existing customers plus bring on potential new business with the aim of achieving/exceeding agreed targets (budget) by ensuring excellent customer service and a good product mix all the while ensuring profitability guidelines are met. In summary, to actively promote the company’s quality of goods and services throughout the customer base with the goal to generate further sales and opportunities etc. RESPONSIBILITIES • Too effectively plan and call to existing customers in a timely fashion, to develop further business and product sales in line Trade customers. • To actively develop the customer base and to meet sales targets and budgets. • To actively follow up leads for potential new business. • Too actively increase product mix into each customer and promote existing products into new markets. • To ensure effective communication with customers at all times, maintaining service levels and standards. • To maintain and improve profitability on products sold. • To increase the profile of business in the in the market. • To ensure all reports and records are valid and correct before entering on to Altecnic CRM system. • To ensure the effective operation of all administrative duties e.g., customer records, call plans, sales figures, monthly reports, and budgets are of the company standard.

• To set monthly objectives in conjunction with Country Manager and OEM National Sales Manager • To meet agreed monthly set targets. • To ensure effective team working within and across departments. REQUIREMENTS • Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of plumbing and heating products from a supplier, installer, contractor, and customer point of view. • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a B2B sales role • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide a quick resolution to problems. • Good interpersonal skills with excellent telephone techniques • Self-motivated and organised with an ability to work under pressure. • IT Proficient (e.g., MS Office/SAP/CRM etc) • Full Driving Licence PERSON • A team player with a positive, flexible approach and a willingness to learn. • Outgoing and confident personality who is able to operate at all levels. • Good standard of education • Strong organisational and time management skills • Must be customer orientated and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, and initiative.
