SWC APPRENTICE AIMING TO SECURE SKILLPLUMB UK FINAL SPOT David Bateman Smith, an apprentice plumbing and heating engineer from South West College, emerged victorious in the qualifying Northern Ireland heat of SkillPLUMB held at NWRC, Greystone Campus, Limavady in May. David’s outstanding performance has positioned him for a potential advancement to the SkillPLUMB UK final in November. If he ranks among the highest-scoring competitors from all the UK heats, David will secure the opportunity to showcase his skills and represent Northern Ireland on a national stage. In second place was Joseph Hagan, SWC, with Morgan Finney of NRC runner-up at the NI regional heat, which was sponsored by ToolMonster.
