Founded in 2005, with only 4 people, that is how it all started for Versus. Nearly 20 years later I can proudly look back and say that those 4 people are still active within the company but are joined by 71 other colleagues. In Belgium we’ve grown from 4 to 35 team members, from 1000 m² to 10.500 m², from 1 product to 6 product lines.

With facilities in Turkey, the UK, Germany and Hungary, our operations also crossed borders. Our 50 Turkish colleagues are active in Istanbul at Versus Turkey (2500 m²) and Qubus operates with 5 people at our facility in Budapest (1200 m²). And we have not stopped yet, we are still eager to grow. We keep on developing new products, work on product improvements and keep on testing our products to meet the highest standards. Research and development have, from the start, always been the cornerstone of our company. We never forget who we are working for, and make sure your problems become ours. Over the years we listened to our customers, trailer builders, logistics companies, drivers, etc. Every day we learn from the people in the field who use our products day in and day out, and will keep doing so. We are always open for suggestions and collaborations. Besides my drive towards innovation and new developments, I value most the people joining us on this journey. Not only our dynamic team, but also suppliers and customers we are working with for years. A lot of you even became close friends. Gegründet im Jahr 2005, mit nur 4 Leuten, so begann es für Versus. Fast 20 Jahre später kann ich stolz zurückblicken und sagen, dass diese 4 Personen immer noch im Unternehmen aktiv sind, allerdings mittlerweile beigetreten von 71 neuen Kollegen. In Belgien sind wir von 4 auf 35Teammitgliedern, von 1000 m² auf 10.500 m², von 1 Produkt auf 6 Produktlinien gewachsen. Mit Standorten in der Türkei, England, Deutschland und Ungarn haben wir auch Grenzen überquert. Unsere 50 türkischen Kollegen sind in Istanbul bei Versus Türkei (2500 m²) aktiv und Qubus arbeitet mit 5 Personen in unserem Werk in Budapest (1200 m²). Und unser Wachstumshunger ist noch nicht gestillt! Wir entwickeln ständig neue Produkte, arbeiten an Produktverbesserungen und testen laufend unsere Produkte um den höchsten Standards gerecht zu werden. Forschung und Entwicklung waren von Anfang an Eckpfeiler unseres Unternehmens. Wir vergessen nie für wen wir arbeiten und sorgen dafür, dass Ihre Probleme die unsrigen werden. Im Laufe der Jahre haben wir unsere Kunden, Fahrzeugbauer, Transportunternehmer, Fahrer usw. genau zugehört. Versus-Omega ist der Hersteller von Schiebe- und Hubdächern sowie Schiebesysteme – Slider - für LKW und Anhänger. Das Unternehmen hat seinen Sitz in Oudsbergen, Belgien, und unsere Produkte werden weltweit exportiert. Wir sind über unsere lokalen Händler und Partnerschaften leicht erreichbar. Unsere ständige Suche nach flexiblen Lösungen ermöglichte es auf maximale Fahrzeughöhe zu laden: das Axces Hubsystem war geboren. Als nächstes konzentrierten wir uns auf die Slider-Systeme mit einem Hauptziel: schnelleres und effizienteres Be- und Entladen der Güter: unsere Penta-Systeme erblickten das Licht der Welt! Schließlich ermöglichen unsere Kits die Zusammenführung aller Versus-Systeme, was zu flexiblen und modularen Aufbauten von LKW und Auflieger für Ihr Unternehmen führt.

Versus-Omega is the manufacturer of sliding and lifting roofs as well as slider systems for trucks and trailers. The company is located in Oudsbergen, Belgium, and Versus products are exported all over the world. We are easily accessible through our local dealers and partnerships. On the inside of the truck and trailer our sliding roofs can be recognized by the red omega-shaped folding plates, and on the outside by the red VS ribbon at the back. It all started with sliding roofs, our core business. Meanwhile, the product range expanded tremendously. Further developments and extensive research resulted in Trike, a significant improvement of the curtainsider system. Our ongoing search for flexible solutions enabled loading up to maximum capacity: the Axces lifting system was born. Next, we focused on the slider systems, with one main goal: faster and most efficient loading and unloading of goods. Our Penta systems saw the light of day! Most standard curtain rollers have two or four plastic rollers, only positioned vertically. But since curtains are flexible and tend to be pulled in many different directions, the vertical rollers will twist and turn in the top rail, which in turn will cause them to block or get damaged due to friction. Unbreakable and easy to assemble!

The patented omega-shaped red folding plates automatically bend upwards when opening the roof. Because of this shape, the folding plates are limited elastic and compressible, which makes them almost unbreakable. Furthermore, they assemble easily inside the grooves of the roof sticks.

Our folding plates are available in 6 different lenghts and 2 different variations: the standard version and the reinforced version for heavy duty jobs.

In cooperation with the Belgian PVC fabric specialist Sioen,Versus-Omega developed the revolutionary “Carapax” roof cover. It is axially reinforced with aramid fibres, rendering the superstructure more stable in order to easily pass the requested load security tests such as EN 12642 XL. The cover works like a Carapax of a turtle over the roof. Use your sliding roof like you always did: no cables hanging inside like a spider web. All Versus sliding roofs are standard equipped with fixing points to easily mount the Carapax roof cover. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem belgischen PVC-Gewebespezialisten Sioen, entwickelteVersus- Omega die revolutionäre „Carapax“ Dachplane. BROOKLYN ROOF COVER

Versus-Omega is always looking to optimise and reduce costs of the products it offers. Besides the Carapax roof tarpaulin, we now also offer our Brooklyn roof tarpaulin . (When you think of the name Brooklyn, think of NewYork’s famous bridge) We start from a standard roof tarpaulin and add diagonal welding tapes.These welding tapes start in a specific pattern from the headboard and back diagonally towards the sides of the roof, thus we obtain a light but strong web that absorbs diagonal and lateral forces when taking sharp and S-curves.The diagonal welding tapes are connected to the corresponding roof sticks.

Brooklyn is also tested and approved according to the EN12642 Code XL standard.

Versus-Omega ist stets bestrebt, die Kosten der angebotenen Produkte zu optimieren. Neben der Carapax-Dachplane bieten wir jetzt auch unsere Brooklyn-Dachplane an. ANTI-VANDALISM COVER

Roof tarpaulins can be reinforced with steel wire as a protection against burglary and intrusion. Penta City und die letzte Meile Penta City ist das Slider-System zum schnellen und sicheren Be- und Entladen in geschäftigen Innenstädten. Entwickelt speziell für den nachhaltigen innerstädtischen Verkehr wo das System mehrmals täglich geöffnet wird. Die Penta Rollen in der oberen und unteren Schiene sind bei Fahrzeuglängen unter 3 Meter nur durch die Plane verbunden. Bis zu 8 Metern wird das Dach zusätzlich von einer mitlaufenden Mittelrunge unterstützt.Trotz des sehr geringes Eigengewichts, ist das System, abhängig von der maximalen Nutzlast und des Penta City-Typs, immer noch in der Lage XL-Tests zu bestehen. Die Plane lässt sich dank des Faltbands im oberen und unteren Planenteil gut falten. Je nach Ausführung erhält die Penta City Plane ihre ultimative Spannung mit oder ohne Schiebetüren, mit oder ohne integriertem Schloss. Penta City bringt Ihre Fracht schnell und sicher durch die Stadt.

Penta City is a slider system, ideal for quick and safe loading or unloading in busy city centres. Especially developed for sustainable city distribution, where the system will be opened multiple times a day. The curtain rollers in the top and bottom rail are only connected by the curtain for vehicle lengths under 3 meter. Up to 8 meter the roof will be supported with a sliding pillar fixed to the curtain. The system has a very low weight, but is still capable of succeeding XL tests, depending on the maximum net payload of the vehicle and the type of Penta City used. The curtain folds nicely open due to the folding strips in both the top and bottom of the side curtain. Depending on the version, the Penta City curtain gets its ultimate tension with or without sliding doors, with or without integrated lock.

PENTA FLEX

The Penta Flex is special as the body can be constructed as an A-Frame or in straight way. A-Frame bodies are common in beverage distribution and glass industry. The floor can have a certain inclination so that cargo will move automatically to the middle of the trailer. The Penta Flex doors and vertical sticks are equipped with hinges and are connected through a steel- or aluminium tube to the lower brackets. These hinges make sure the A-Frame body can be easily made. As with the Penta City, the folding strips in the upper and lower part of the curtain guarantee the perfect curve while opening the side curtain.

Dieses System ist besonders, weil es A-Frame förmig oder gerade aufgebaut werden kann. A-Frame Aufbauten sind im Getränkehandel und bei Glastransportern üblich. Bei Getränkewagen hat der Boden manchmal eine gewisse Neigung und wird die Ladung automatisch zum Inneren des Aufbaus neigen. Die Penta Flex Türen und die vertikalen Spriegeln sind mit Scharnieren ausgestattet und mittels ein Stahl- oder Aluminiumrohr mit den unteren Konsolen verbunden. Diese schwenkbare Rollenfunktion stellt sicher, dass die A-Frame Form leicht realisiert werden kann. Genau wie beim Penta City, garantieren die Faltbänder oben und unten in der Plane die perfekte Wölbung beim Öffnen der Seitenplane.

Penta Wave is the slider system for heavy commercial trucks and semi- trailers, vehicles with the highest possible payload. Penta Wave is fully EN12642 XL certified for loads up to 27 tons! On the DAF test track near Eindhoven (NL), an endurance test with a fully loaded trailer, tested for 8 hours under extremely harsh conditions, equivalent to 1.7 million kilometres driven, was successfully carried out. In the Penta Wave package, the top and bottom rollers are connected by reinforced steel mini pillars. All system parts are interconnected by our red Penta folding plates. These ensure that the Penta Wave side curtain easily folds from open to closed and from closed to open, keeping the cargo space absolutely free.

When Penta meets Axces: endless product combinations Big logistical challenges? Fast loading and unloading of goods up to maximum capacity? Versus has the solution: the Penta Wave Axces offers the same advantages and options as Penta Wave, complemented with a manual or automatic Axces lifting roof. The high and slim Alto Penta rail was especially designed for the Penta Wave Axces, providing a loading width of 2480 mm between the rails. Telescopic parts are integrated in the doors and (mini) pillars which make it possible for the roof to be lifted up to 500 mm, rendering the cargo space optimally accessible. In comparison to Penta Wave, Penta Wave Axces needs one or two outside straps, to secure the roof from lifting off during driving.

Penta Wave Mega Axces is a variant of the Penta Wave Axces: a combination of the Penta Wave slider and Axces lifting system for Mega trailers driving at variable heights.The mini pillars as well as the side curtain are adjustable and lockable in height (patented solution). For safety reasons, PentaWave Mega Axces needs a couple of outside straps to secure the roof from lifting off while driving.

PENTA SWING

Our Penta Swing is the latest member of the Penta Wave family. The entire side curtain can be pushed over the front/rear of the trailer, which makes the cargo area fully accessible. Loading and unloading has never been so quick and easy! The trick: depending on the configuration of your truck/trailer and local legislation, add curved aluminium top and stainless steel bottom rails to the front and/or rear section. The curved rails are available in both R300 and R500 radius, allowing to have both Penta Wave sides in the front/rear of the vehicle. Quick Lock doors and sliding pillars have adapted rollers, allowing them to easily get through the curves. Penta Swing uses a folding band over the full length of the side curtain (top and bottom) instead of folding plates.

Unser Penta Swing ist das neueste Mitglied der Penta Wave Familie. Die gesamte Seitenplane kann über die Front/ Heck des Anhängers geschoben werden, der Laderaum ist nun vollständig zugänglich. Noch nie war das Be- und Entladen so schnell und einfach. Beim Penta Swing wird anstelle von Faltplatten ein Faltband (oben und unten) über die gesamte Länge der Seitenplane verwendet. Das Nonplusultra ist unser Penta Swing Axces, wobei das Dach um bis zu 500 mm angehoben werden kann.

MANUAL LIFTING SYSTEMS HYDRAMAN The Axces Hydraman is a single lifting system that can lift manually up to 500 mm. It has a pump on each corner of the truck/trailer; 4 pumps are needed to equip a whole truck/trailer, each pump goes up in turn.

The ‘Connect’ set connects the pumps to the roof.

The pressure is passed from one cylinder to the other via a hydraulic line and the front and rear rise simultaneously. You can operate the entire truck/trailer with 2 systems.

The “Connect” set connects the cylinders to the roof, similar to the Hydraman system.
