Gratitude Report 2022

Dear Friends,

As Have Dreams reflects on 2022, we can’t help but look back through a lens of GRATITUDE . Because of you, our Have Dreams community, we were able to continue to provide cutting-edge programs and services to kids, teens and adults with autism. Have Dreams is GRATEFUL for the many ways you have impacted our organization in 2022. You participated in events like Pizza With A Purpose, A Night of Denim and White and the Have Dreams Golf Classic . You contributed to our Have Dreams April Day of Giving, our Team Have Dreams marathon team and our Annual Appeal and Giving Tuesday campaigns. Each and every gift of your time and treasure has mattered!

coach that works in our adult day program. Through structured activities, Madison and the Have Dreams staff foster independence and social skills for adults with autism like Sophia . Sophia’s mother, Cindy Fah-Ok tells us that Have Dreams is the “only place that puts such a beaming smile on her face.” Sophia also enjoys being with her peers while practicing vocational skills through a variety of volunteer opportunities, like assembling mailings for Jackie Mack of Jackie Mack & More - Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty. Jackie and her team have been partnering with Have Dreams since 2016, and are grateful to be able to provide valuable real world work experiences for our participants. We hope you look though our 2022 Gratitude Report to read more from these valued Have Dreams stakeholders who are all connected because of your generosity. We are truly thankful for your support. Our shared values to carry out our Have Dreams mission and work can only be realized through your generous partnership and contributions. We are deeply grateful for what you do, so that Have Dreams can continue to do the work that we do. YOUR support has created a ripple effect, helping to uplift the lives of kids, teens and adults at Have Dreams, while also widening our impact to benefit countless others beyond our doors. YOU made this possible. Because of your support we have staff members like Madison Hegedus , a Life SCILS

Madison Hegedus Have Dreams Staff Member Life SCILS Coach

For me, working with Sophia has been such a fun whirlwind right from the start. We both came to Have Dreams at about the same time, so we were kind of learning the ropes together. It has now been going on three years since then and she has truly blossomed. We've discovered that she has a knack for creativity and loves partaking in any kind of art project we do here at Have Dreams.

During almost any free time we have, you will find her drawing or coloring with friends. She has such a big personality and has become such a fun participant to watch. It feels like every day we learn something new about her and I feel so grateful that I get to be a part of it all.

Having a large number of participants with such a wide range of abilities working together seems like it should be really difficult, but these guys make it look easy.

Everyone at Have Dreams is always looking out for each other. Whether it’s helping out a staff member when they need it or offering support to their fellow peers, the participants here are always willing and ready. Everyone operates like a big family and the participants are the reason behind it.

Cindy Fah-Ok Mother of Sophia Life SCILS participant We've known from the time Sophia started in the Social Skills Group when she was 11 that Have Dreams was the only place that puts such a beaming smile on her face. Every person at Have Dreams knows how to work with and support a person with ASD. I've always said that Sophia is happiest when she's with her tribe.

It's a wonderful feeling knowing that she is in a place with her peers, she's learning life and work skills, as well as working out every day. Sophia is eager to tell us all about Have Dreams when she comes home every day.

Cindy Fah-Ok Mother of Sophia Life SCILS participant I could not imagine Sophia spending her time at any other place other than Have Dreams. We owe so much gratitude to

the entire organization. Thank you for being such incredible human beings!

Jackie Mack Community Partner Jackie Mack & More - Jameson Southeby’s Realty

I have been a full-time realtor since 2000 and have lived in Evanston for over 30 years. We not only love to help people with their real estate needs, but love to give back to this amazing community.

The Have Dreams Life SCILS program has been an invaluable partner to my team and me since 2016. In addition to their support with our monthly mailings, we've had the privilege of hosting interns from the Have Dreams Academy workforce training program over the years. Our belief in this program stems from its ability to provide genuine, real-world experiences for its participants.

Jackie Mack Community Partner Jackie Mack & More - Jameson Southeby’s Realty

The impact of Have Dreams extends far beyond individual lives ; it ripples through the entire Evanston community. It's a powerful reminder that a community that embraces and supports all its members is undeniably a better place for everyone to live and thrive. Their work stands as a testament to the positive change that can be achieved through dedication, compassion, and a deep understanding of the needs of those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
