ACI’S SUITE OF CONCRETE KNOWLEDGE

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is a leading authority and resource worldwide for the development, dissemination, and adoption of its consensus-based standards, technical resources, educational programs, and proven expertise. Founded in 1904, the Institute has been helping Individuals and organizations involved in concrete design, construction, and materials, who share a commitment to pursuing the best use of concrete, for more than a century. ACI’s purpose, outlined in its 1904 Charter, is to organize the efforts of its members for a non-profit public service in gathering, correlating, and disseminating information for the improvement of the design, construction, manufacture, use, and maintenance of concrete products and structures. By upholding this purpose, professionals within the concrete industry acknowledge ACI as an impartial platform for generating trustworthy technical insights. Suite of Codes ACI offers a suite of concrete knowledge through a diverse collection of over a two dozen individual design codes, accessible via print or digital download, and conveniently available online through the ACI Store. These codes span various topics including structural concrete design, concrete repair, precast concrete, seismic analysis, residential concrete, and more. Developed through a rigorous consensus process, ACI codes have established reliable standards for over a century. Whether through individual purchases from the ACI Store or comprehensive access via the ACI Collection Online Subscription, all ACI codes and standards are readily accessible to users.

An ACI code sets forth the minimal requirements for concrete or masonry structures within its scope to ensure the safety, health, and well- being of the public. These codes can be adopted by a model building code, a regulatory agency, or utilized by an industrial or governmental organization involved in the construction or manufacturing of projects utilizing concrete.
