VPN
Brahm Collector EVO is equipped with built-in VPN for accessing the HMI and monitoring the unit
from anywhere with internet connection. This feature is accessible by using the Easy Access 2.0 and
can be turned on from the Settings screen in the HMI. Initial setup needs to be done in order to use
the VPN feature. Here is a simplified instruction for using the VPN:
1. Go to https://account.ihmi.net/domain/index.php and create a domain account to manage the VPN access for all the BC EVO units. 2. Once the domain is created, add the HMI to the domain: a. Hover the cursor over the Devices tab and select “HMI List”. On the top right of the screen, press the “Add HMI” button. b. Select the “Add by Session ID/Password” within Action Type. This information can be found from the HMI screen. c. Go to the HMI and select Settings. Make sure the HMI is connected to the network and has internet connection. Click
the VPN Settings button and
press “Start”. Wait a couple
seconds, the state should
change to “online”. The
Session ID and password
should be generated as well.
Record this information for
adding the HMI to the domain.
d. Continuing Step (b), enter the Session ID and password and click Assign.
3. Once the HMI is added, go to User tab and add a new user by clicking the “Add User” button on
the top right of the screen and following the prompt on the screens. Once the user is added, we
want to assign the HMI to the user so that the user can access the HMI.
4. Select the user and click “Edit User”. Select the HMIs you want the selected user to have access
to and click Save.
