A Very Amana Colonies Christmas Amana, IA Wednesday, December 4, 2024 It’s Christmas time in the Colonies and we can’t wait to share it with you! We’ll kick off the day learning about the dynamic history of the Amana Colonies with the Amana Heritage Society, sampling holiday favorites at the Communal Kitchen and Cooper Shop heritage site, and stepping back in time to shop at the High Amana General Store. Lunch will be served family style at the nationally recognized Ox Yoke Inn, including old world signature entrees and recipes featuring traditional German and American favorites. In the afternoon, we’ll step into a winter wonderland at the Amana Colonies’ Tannenbaum Forest, featuring over 60 uniquely decorated Christmas Trees in the Festhalle Barn. Finally, cross some Christmas gifts off your list with shopping at a variety of Amana’s unique shops before returning home. Cost is $115 per member; $125 per non-member, payable upon registration.
