Welcome to our 2026 sale and our 50th year in the Red Angus business. We want to begin by thanking our customers for your hard work, resilience, and continued support. Despite challenging conditions - from weather extremes to rising costs - your perseverance keeps this industry moving forward. We truly appreciate your business, loyalty, and friendship. We are honored to have been recognized by the Red Angus Association as Pioneer Breeder of the Year. This award reflects five decades of commitment to the Red Angus breed and would not be possible without the trust of our customers. It reinforces our belief in building cattle the right way- focused on balance, longevity, and real-world performance. Our program is built on outstanding mother cows that consistently raise healthy, heavy calves. We value the convenience traits of Red Angus cattle and breed them to perform in Montana’s unpredictable conditions. Balance has always guided our program - we do not chase single traits or EPDs. Instead, we emphasize soundness, disposition, and consistency acrossgenerations. Our cattle must perform on paper and, more importantly, in the pasture. We present our calves honestly. All are parent-identified, DNA tested, and bulls are semen checked prior to the sale. Structural soundness, especially feet and legs, is a top priority. Our calves are not crept fed, feet are never trimmed, and pairs do not graze irrigated pasture. We want you to know exactly what you are buying. Red Angus cattle continue to add value across the industry. As both seedstock and commercial producers, we use the same bulls we sell and stand behind them because we rely on them

ourselves. We are also offering heifers from the heart of our operations - always a difficult sort, but one we are confident you will appreciate. Vic often talks about the “pickup test” - cattle that are correct, sound, and enjoyable to look at. Our 2026 offering includes high quality heifer and cow bulls that meet those standards, along with fresh genetics and reliable information. We believe you’ll find solution-based cattle at our sale on March 25, 2026. On a personal note, our greatest joy continues to be time spent with our grandchildren. Leah and Axel are growing quickly at ages 13 and 11. Both were involved in basketball this year, with Leah’s Jr High volleyball and basketball teams winning district championships. Axel completed his second year of tackle football - which he loved. They also participated in the 4H beef project, taking their third steers to the fair this past summer - no small undertaking. Leah and Axel are active in shooting sports, where Axel has found great success and pursuing the sport at a higher level. They also compete in the youth archery in Lewistown. Leah is also part of the Grass Range FFA chapter where she has been enjoying competing in livestock judging - which has been fun for both Papa and Nana. Both are a tremendous help on the ranch and take pride in their responsibilities. We are incredibly proud of the young people they are becoming. Jenni remains an integral part of running the ranch while continuing her work as a training and development consultant. Brett and Jenni’s ag and steel business, Hedman, Inc., continues to grow, providing high-quality solutions for ranchers, farmers, fencers, and welders. Trevor works at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena. Vic still spends time in one of his favorite places - the high school gym - coaching girls basketball. Shari continues to enjoy the ranch, the animals and fiber arts.
