Director’s Message 2025 W elcome to the 2025 Norfolk County Heritage & Culture Events, Exhibitions and Program Guide . I continue to be amazed by the creativity and ingenuity of the Heritage & Culture team when planning programming and activities for their respective communities. Throughout the year, they host a variety of special events, hands- on workshops, concerts, theatre performances, camp programs, and present an engaging array of exhibits. Kick off the year by attending the ever-popular Captain’s Polar Bear Levee at the Port Dover Harbour Museum on New Years Day; attend a Perogy Bee hosted by the Delhi Tobacco Museum & Heritage Centre; enjoy the Leaving Their Mark: Folk Artists of Norfolk exhibit at WHAM; or register your child for the Norfolk County Archives’ History Club. 2025 also has lots of fun in store for kids with March Break and Summer Camps and special holiday-themed programming. For all the teachers and youth leaders out there, we invite you to contact us to find out more about our curriculum-based education programs that can be delivered onsite or in the classroom. These programs are hands-on, educational, engaging, and a wonderful way to expand your classroom programming. We also provide valuable opportunities for youth volunteers through our youth mentorship programs. Through their participation in our programs, youth volunteers can accumulate volunteer hours, build a resume, and gain valuable skills and knowledge. Our youth mentorship program provides opportunities for experienced youth volunteers to mentor new volunteers. We also offer engaging and interesting co-op placements for high school students and provide internship opportunities. Our goal continues to be to Inspire, Educate and Entertain and we hope that as you read through our 2025 Norfolk County Heritage & Culture Events, Exhibitions and Program Guide you’ll find something that will do just that. We look forward to seeing you in 2025!
