Ultrasonic Position Sensing TuffCam Swing Clamps

Ultrasonic Position Sensing Clamps  Ultrasonic Position Sensing Clamps provide accurate and repeatable live clamp position measurements.  Sensing available for TuffCam Swing Clamps.  Repeat accuracy of +/-0.05mm.  Allowable maximum pressure of 70 Bar.  Accuracy unaffected by heat up to 85° C.  Communication through IO-Link, discrete IO, or analog.  All components are rated to at least IP67.  All-in-one Vektek ultrasonic position sensing package available for easy integration.  Easy troubleshooting to identify failed unclamp or clamp states. How does ultrasonic position sensing work?  The ultrasonic sensor sends an ultrasonic pulse from the bottom of the clamp and the signal is reflected back to the sensor at the bottom of the plunger.  The sensor measures the return time and gives an accurate position based off how quickly the pulse returns.  Set up the desired clamping and unclamping ranges using the Data Link System (DLS). Ultrasonic sensors can also be individually programmed. See Data Link System in the Inch Catalog.  During operation, the DLS will send a go signal to the machine if the clamps are in the correct position and no signal if the clamps are out of position.
