crown of his “rewards. Q . A listener in Santa Barbara writes: “Please explain what is meant by Ephesians 4:26 where it reads on this wise, ‘Be angry and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.’ This seems to be quite a paradox.” A. No, there is no. contradiction here. God says He wants us to be alert, zeal ous, and indignant against unright eousness, but that we must not let this indignation get out of hand; we must not let it go too long because there is always the danger that the Devil can cause a root of bitterness to come up— God realized that. Q . Roseburg, Oregon supplies this ques tion from among our listeners there: “How could Saul of Tarsus make Chris tians blaspheme as stated in Acts 26: 11 ? ” A. The passage referred to is: “And I punished them oft in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.” The word blaspheme basically means to speak in an unbecoming and un dignified manner. Thus you can see how Saul of Tarsus could well attempt to make Christians blaspheme by mak ing them recant and speak derogatori- ly of Christ. We have cases in early church history when men were not true and did exactly that. Such an act is blaspheming. Thank God, many did not concede. — A T T E N T I O N — San Francisco IMPORTANT RADIO CHANGE "The Bible Institute Hour” now heard Monday through Friday KFAX, 1100 ON THE DIAL,

A. We believe that the meaning of everlasting fire as found in Matt. 25:41 means that the Devil will go through persecution that will be accommodated to his body, whatever form it may be; and the same will apply to the human body. It will be a definite, literal fire and we need to keep that in mind. Hell was not prepared for man, but for the Devil and his angels. Those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ — and man is a free moral agent — auto matically go to the place prepared for the Devil and his angels which is hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. It stands for man to either ac cept or reject Christ as Saviour. Q . From San Diego, California we have received this question: “Do we have any scriptural proof of where the Gar den of Eden was located?” A. In the second chapter of Genesis, verse 10, we read: “A river went out of Eden to water the Garden; and from thence it was parted, and became four heads.” Then as you read down to verse 14 you find the name of the third river is Hiddekel, which is the Hebrew for Tigris that goes in toward the east of Assyria and the fourth river is Euphrates. Now the Tigris-Euphrates area is Mesopotamia — thus there is scriptural proof for the location of the Garden in Mesopotamia. Q . Ashland, Oregon is the area from which the following inquiry comes. “In I Cor. 9:27 Paul implies that he might become a castaway. Doesn’t this indicate that he felt he could lose his salvation?” A. I Cor. 9:27 reads, “But I keep my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” This particular word that has been translated “castaway”, is a Greek word that simply means dis approved or not approved. And Dr. Scofield goes on to say in his notes, “The Apostle is writing of service not of salvation. He is expressing the thought that he may fail to obtain the
