ILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington- based developer,
Buccini Pollin Group, Inc. (BPG) , BPGS Construction, and ResideBPG announce d the grand opening of Humble Park Place, a brand new 61- unit apartment community on Lower Market St. Follow- ing remarks from the newly- instated City of Wilmington Mayor John Carney , founder of Buccini Pollin Group Rob Buccini , and executive vice president of development for BPG Michael Hare , project stakeholders gathered to cut a ceremonial ribbon in front of the building entrance at 2 W 4th Street before touring the property. Humble Park Place, which broke ground in Summer 2023, brought an esti- mated 250 construction jobs to Wilmington during the project. Designed by Digsau , the $16 million development spans three buildings increasing from four to six stories across the site. The building design is sensitive to the historic char- acteristics in the neighborhood while still being contemporary and attractive for today’s modern renter. One and two- bedroom apartments feature high-end finishes and modern conveniences like quartz coun- tertops, LVT flooring, stainless steel appliances, and in-unit washer and dryer. Interior units overlook a lightwell in the center of the building providing ample natural light for residents. Onsite ameni- ties include a fitness center, resident lounge, and private rooftop deck. Humble Park Place also fea- tures a lobby mural designed by artist, musician, and co- owner of Spaceboy Clothing, Dave Sanchez (Chez Creative). In 2017, Chez Creative, with the help of Downtown Visions, revitalized the neglected park and transformed the space into an outdoor performing arts venue. The community pays tribute to the former site with its name while reactivating this highly visible intersection. The grand opening also sig- nifies the continued progress of the revitalization movement on Lower Market Street to fur- ther the connection between Downtown and the Riverfront. Located on 4th St. as a major thoroughfare to interstate 95, Humble Park Place provides a new and welcoming entry into Wilmington via 4th St.
