Annie Oakley and the Monsters under the bed

Annie Oakley, the Little Black Labrador, learns to deal with the monsters under her bed.

Once upon a time, in Tasmania, there lived a black Labrador named Annie Oakley. Annie was a brave and adventurous pup during the day, but when night fell, she became scared of the dark. She believed there were monsters hiding under her bed, waiting to grab her paws!

Every night, Annie's parents would tuck her into bed, but she would shake and whimper. "Mommy, Daddy, there are monsters under my bed!" Annie would cry.

Annie's parents understood that many children go through a phase of being scared of the dark, as they have a hard time telling apart what is real and what is not. So, they decided to help Annie overcome her fear and learn to be brave.

One evening, Annie's parents introduced her to something magical called "monster spray." It was a special mixture of water and a sweet-smelling essential oil, and it came in a shiny spray bottle.

They told Annie that this spray had the power to scare away any monsters hiding in her room. Annie felt a surge of excitement as she held the spray bottle in her paws. She could be in charge of banishing the monsters!

Annie's parents showed her how to spray a little bit of the monster spray around her bed each night before going to sleep. They even let her create signs that said, "Monsters, stay away!" This made Annie feel brave and strong. With the monster spray and signs in place, she knew the monsters did not stand a chance!

But Annie's parents did not stop at just monster spray. They also helped Annie check under her bed and in her wardrobe before bedtime, making sure there were no monsters hiding. They watched movies about friendly and silly monsters so Annie could see that not all monsters were scary.

Annie's parents also placed a nightlight in her room and played calming lullabies to help her feel safe. They even gave her foam swords, so she could pretend to fight the monsters if they ever dared to show up!

One night, Annie's parents decided to move her bed closer to the door, so she could see out into the hallway. They believed that seeing the familiar sights of their home at night would help ease Annie's fears.

To make sure Annie never felt alone, her parents assigned a stuffed toy to stay on duty and keep watch for monsters during the night. This special toy, named Sir Barkington, stood guard by Annie's side, and gave her the courage she needed.

Little by little, with all these tricks and tools, Annie started to feel less afraid of the dark. She learned that monsters were simply a part of growing up and that she had the power to make them go away.

And so, Annie Oakley, the brave black Labrador, grew up knowing that she could face any fear that came her way. She knew how to spray away the monsters, fight them with foam swords, and have her trusty Sir Barkington on duty all night.

From that day forward, Annie Oakley became the bravest dog in her neighbourhood. And whenever she met another pup who was scared of the dark, she would share her secrets of how to banish those monsters under the bed.

And they all lived happily ever after, dreaming sweet dreams without fear of monsters, knowing that they were safe and loved.
