AFTERNOON CAMPS

Paper Square Challenge Students can explore numerous ways to alter a simple scrap of paper. Armed with only a glue stick, scissors, and perhaps a tool or two, they can fold, cut, pierce, punch, crumple, curl, bend, shred, roll, twist, weave, tear, layer, emboss, and deboss one square after another—to list a few techniques. Each altered square is arranged in a grid-like pattern, creating a colorful paper sculpture that grows more complex. In-line Skating 101 The goal of this course is for campers to utilize in-line skating as a means to stay fit and active both during camp and throughout their lives. Teaching elementary campers a lifetime fitness activity can be challenging due to their skill and comprehension levels at this age. However, similar to riding a bike, once campers learn how to skate, they are likely to retain this skill. Introducing children to in-line skating at a young age instills confidence and imparts the knowledge that it is a healthy fitness activity they can engage in throughout their lives. Our aim is to provide students with various options to maintain fitness and health, with in-line skating being one of those valuable choices. Cooking-Dunkin’ Dips Excite your friends with the best appetizers, finger foods, and bite-sized snacks. From the best-ever guacamole to stuffed mushrooms and classic deviled eggs, you will find an appetizer recipe for any occasion. Additionally, you can prep a few of these healthy snacks ahead of time to satisfy those munchies! Field Trip: Celebration Station
