Welcome Fellow Cattleman & Cattlewomen to the 12th Annual Cattleman to Cattleman High Altitude Bull Sale.
What a great year 2023 was in the cattle business with record high prices for calves and more demand for our product than ever before, American Beef is where it’s at. 2024 is starting off just where 2023 left off with great prices for cattle. You, the cow-calf producer, are finally getting paid a premium for your product. And very well deserved, as we look ahead the cattle numbers are still dropping in the US. If I had to give some advice. Fight, claw, dig in deep, and make this cow market work for your operation and for hell sakes get your kids involved in agriculture. We are seeing too many farms not passing down through the generations. If we are to stay independent as a country, we must never lose the ability to feed our country. In 2023 we were able to market and sell many loads of cattle through Superior livestock while using our Allied marketing logo for top dollar. 2024 will be better, SimAngus cattle are in demand. We want to thank our sale managers at Allied Genetics. Jared, Corey and Marty have been very helpful pivoting our sale and helping us better serve our customers as we navigate the cow calf market. Also, thanks to Tate Gurney for being such a great rep for our customers selling on Superior Livestock. This year’s bull crop represents 20+ years of breeding, selecting, and creating commercial cattleman, a bull that will work in the western arid high desert ranges of the west. With over 20 years of PAP testing feel confident that we are doing the homework for you, when it comes to High Altitude Cattle. Our cattle run just like yours we have large winter BLM permits, and then move to spring allotments for breeding, then on to high valleys of Idaho where we summer our herd. We have 110+ Pap tested bulls this year, SimAngus, Simmental, and Angus. The bulls pap tested very well this year, we cull very hard every year only selling our top 65% of our bull calf crop. The bulls must perform in our conditions. As always with our bulls we stand behind them 100%. Buy with confidence that these bulls will push down the scales with there calves and give you those great maternal made female replacements that we all want. Remember, we are the only ones that can make it right if there’s a problem, we can’t fix it if we don’t know about it. We are your partners in the cattle business.
