cartridge rebuilds, and now belted single facer steering rolls. 2023 was a record year in throughput and sales. In 2024, Tiruna America will experience a building expan- sion increasing capacity and efficiency. Increases in staff has strengthened the capabilities to have technicians field assisting the installation of corrugating rolls in any make single facer.” Visit fosber.com and tirunaamerica.com . GEO M. MARTIN COMPANY Emeryville, California: Jason Smith reports, “Geo. Martin is entering our 95th year in business with a positive fore-
back to the old normal within the supply chain. The past few years have been challenging for all of us, Fosber has
continually invested in components and resources to meet external and internal expectations in this growth cycle. We all look forward to the newer normal which looks more like the old normal. “In 2023, 2024 and beyond, Fosber America continues to see

machinery sales growth for our product lines of the 400 Series and Quantum Corrugator. Machine configurable speeds ranges from 1050fpm to 1500fpm, and available corrugated web widths from 70-inches, 98-inches, and 110-inches. “The SmartBelt SingleFacer, has stood out in the last year as another exceptional Fosber design offering cus- tomers better options for inside print on the corrugated sheet. The SmartBelt design provides every aesthetic ben- efit in quality with a focus on reliability and cost of owner- ship. Fosber has seven SmartBelt SingleFacers installing in 2024. Features on the SmartBelt SingleFacer are adapt- ability to flute change into any flute profile, microflute to jumboflute, with a single machine, and a Pressure Belt with extended life characteristics. With the inclusion of the waterdeck technology, the SmartBelt SingleFacer has reached the summit to reduce warp characteristics in the finished corrugated sheet. “Within the digital print space, in 2023 the Fosber Group and Hewlett Packard entered a marketing agree- ment. The HP partnership spotlights the Fosber Quantum Corrugator. The Quantum Corrugator design, with its one- to-one speed relationship and no singleface festoon be- tween the SmartBelt SingleFacer and Quantum Topfacer, offers maximum ability to produce a flat well bonded sheet with non-permeable liners in the microflute range, plus B and C flute. At Fosber, we are excited on 2024 for digital print possibilities from our existing supplier relationship with Digital Print Incorporated for single color inline digital print, and now with the capabilities of the Quantum Corru- gator coupled with the HP technology. “Fosber America also offers a full suite of ancillary items to enhance corrugator productivity, personnel knowledge, and experiences on the corrugator via the Corrugator Control System, Fosber Syncro. Beyond Corrugator man- agement, Fosber Syncro is a recipe-based process con- trol system. In 2023 many optional items matured within Syncro, thermal graphic temperature imaging and control, closed loop control features to forewarn and mitigate im- pending quality issues, warp detection with automatic ad- justment control, with more items in test and set to release in 2024. The Fosber Syncro system can fully interface with non-Fosber equipment along any corrugated line. “Tiruna America, Inc. continues to be an industry lead- er in new and refurbished corrugating rolls, pressure rolls,

“Our patented SCRUBBER technology continues to be the industry leader for converters focused on high-speed production with clean, square, perfectly formed stacks and bundles. Building on the success of this technology, the SQC and SQX Diverters further enhance not only the quality of the finished load, but the safe operation of the machine with a ‘hands-off’ method for pulling Quality Con- trol samples and, when combined with our Length Quality Control (LQC) system, the ability to divert undersized or oversized blanks from the board line prior to entry onto the deck. “Geo Martin products focus on maximizing the perfor- mance and efficiency of the production line. We are con- tinually watching market trends, listening to our custom- ers’ needs and projected requirements, and investing in R&D to create innovative solutions that meet the growing and changing needs of the industry. “Smart Shingle is one of Geo. Martin’s latest innova- tions. Introduced in mid-2023, Smart Shingle reduces or eliminates the feed interrupt time needed by the press to create a gap in the board flow during the stack change/ bundle change cycle. This means converting lines no lon- ger sacrifice production during the ejection cycle. With die cutters running at or near top speed, six to seven sheets can be lost to each stack change or bundle change cycle. For full stacks that change once every minute or two, this can amount to 180-420 lost sheets per hour. For bundling with two to three bundle changes/min this can add up to a whopping 1,260 lost sheets/hour. On any order size, this saves valuable production time; however, on large orders, this leads to a dramatic increase in productivity as well as print quality, as over-inking or under-inking issues are also eliminated. “Our innovative products are engineered to be back- wards upgradeable to allow existing installations and owners to take advantage of our latest developments and CONTINUED ON PAGE 30
