ROTARY DRYER VENT CLEANING SYSTEMS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
GETTING STARTED: • Unplug dryer and carefully pull away from wall. • Disconnect dryer duct from back of dryer. • Clean back of dryer and surrounding area with Lint Trap Brush & vacuum. • Choose cleaning method depending on best access: (1) from outside toward dryer, (2) from inside toward exterior vent hood, or (3) from each end toward middle. • Tape damper open or remove louvers on outside vent hood. CAUTION: White vinyl venting material should be replaced with “all metal” venting whenever possible Use extreme caution when cleaning. CÓMO COMENZAR: • Desenchufe la secadora y jálela con cuidado para separarla de la pared. • Desconecte el conducto de la secadora de la parte trasera de la misma. • Limpie la parte trasera de la secadora y el área circundante con un cepillo para pelusas. Use una aspiradora si es posible. • Elija el método de limpieza según sea mejor el acceso: (1) desde afuera hacia la secadora, (2) desde adentro hacia la campana de la ventila exterior o (3) desde cada extremo hacia el centro. • Coloque cinta adhesiva para mantener el regulador abierto, o retire las persianas de la campana de la ventila exterior.
PRECAUCIÓN: Siempre que sea posible, se debe reemplazar el material para ventilación de vinilo blanco por piezas totalmente metálicas. Use máxima precaución al limpiar.

1. Screw Auger Brush onto rod and tighten. Insert set screw into threaded hole in Auger Brush fitting and tighten using included hex key. Attach needed rods. 1. Insert rod into chuck of cordless drill and be sure clutch on drill is set at the halfway mark or less. 2. NOTE: Use a shop vacuum or electric leaf blower to remove the loosened lint while brushing the vent. FINAL STEPS • Once the vent system is cleaned, connect the vent to the back of the dryer. • Slide the dryer into place and plug electrical cord into outlet. • Turn the dryer on and go to exterior and check air flow.

• Failure to do so will cause the rods to unscrew and disconnect.
• Never force the rods or over-torque the rods with the drill. Doing this may result in property damage, rod breakage, or personal injury.
TO AVOID ROD BREAKAGE 1. Only use a drill with an adjustable clutch (cordless drill is recommended). 2. Keep clutch setting on drill at halfway or lower when rotating the rods.
