They are able to pose questions that connect the ideas of several speakers and respond to others’ questions and comments with relevant evidence and ideas. Just as in writing, individuals are able to delineate a speaker’s argument, evaluating the soundness of the reasoning and relevance of the evidence. They are able to identify when irrelevant evidence is introduced.
