Individuals who are ready to exit Low Adult Secondary Level are able to read fluently texts that measure at the secondary level of complexity. This includes increasing facility with academic vocabulary and figurative language in level appropriate complex texts and determining the meaning of symbols and key terms used in a specific scientific or technical context. They are able to analyze the cumulative impact of specific word choices on meaning and tone. Individuals are able to make logical and well- supported inferences about those complex texts.
