‘Avagyan is an inspired interpreter of the smaller pieces, dances, songs, and marches, giving each of the little miniatures its own character and thus ensuring variety so that the sequence never becomes monotonous.’ – Pizzicato
‘The young Spanish pianist María Linares does full justice to this character. She emphasises the romantic character, passion, and virtuosity [of the music] just as well as she is able to bring the poetic pieces to life in her internalised interpretation. Her piano sound is beautifully round and warm.’ – Pizzicato ‘Cannestra certainly has the virtuoso technique to master the challenges Wieniawski places in front of him, and he plays with dramatic presence. …Cannestra provides excitement aplenty.’ –Fanfare
‘[Fediurko] plays everything with engagement and technical mastery…’ – American Record Guide
