Flint Group is asking for entries to be submitted for its annual Print Awards. The winners will be an- nounced during a live event at the Flint Group stand at Labelexpo Europe 2017 on September 26. The criteria for judging includes registration, smoothness of dot/vignette, overall print quality and degree of difficulty. Entries will be placed in cate- gories relating to technology and application. Entries can be a commercial label or a promotion- al label, but must be printed using Flint Group mate- rials and/or equipment. The deadline for entries is August 31. FPA Announces Speakers For Fall Conference The Flexible Packaging Association’s 2017 Fall Exec- utive Conference will be held on Tuesday, October 3, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.This sin- gle-day conference will focus on industry-specific topics including a FPA Flexible Packaging Advocacy Program Update; a Polyolefin Market Update; Flexible Packaging Market Growth Opportunities; an Update on the ITC’s Investigation of Chinese Aluminum Foil Imports; and an Introduction to the Sustainable Pack- aging Coalition’s “How2Recycle” Program. The Conference agenda also features Ben Saunders, a World Record-Breaking Polar Explorer and repeat TED Speaker; Peter Ricchiuti, a Wall Street Investment Vision- ary; and Matt Tenney, a Social Entrepreneur and Author.
