Reporting Unsafe Conditions and Security Risks If any employee witnesses or is subjected to any conduct that violates this policy, they should report it immediately to their immediate supervisor or Human Resources. The Company will investigate the matter. Where a policy violation is found, appropriate corrective action will be taken. Emergency assistance must be sought immediately if an employee becomes aware of an imminent act of violence, a threat of imminent violence, or actual violence. In any such situation, employees should immediately contact a supervisor, Human Resources, and, if appropriate, law enforcement authorities by dialing 911. To further help maintain a safe work environment and prevent or investigate violations of this policy, Harrell’s reserves the right at all times to search or inspect employees’ surroundings and possessions. This right extends to the search or inspection of clothing, offices, desks, credenzas, lockers, bags, containers, boxes, personal vehicles parked on company property, and company-owned or company-leased vehicles. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company will not ask employees about the presence of a firearm in the employee’s personal vehicle or search employees’ personal vehicles to determine whether firearms are present. Harrell’s does not discriminate against applicants or employees who legally own or use firearms or use their legal firearms in a personal vehicle in compliance with this policy. Every employee is responsible for helping to make their work location a secure work environment. Employees should refrain from discussing with non-employees specifics regarding company security systems, alarms, passwords, etc. Upon leaving work, employees must lock all desks, lockers, and doors, protecting valuable or sensitive material in the employee’s work area. Employees are required to report any lost or stolen keys, passes, or other similar devices to their supervisor immediately. The company also requests that employees immediately advise their supervisor of any suspicious conduct of employees, customers, or guests of the Company. Please immediately advise the Company of any known security risks, such as broken locks, burnt-out bulbs, persons loitering, or any other potential security risks in the work environment. Harrell’s will not tolerate internal theft. Internal theft will result in immediate disciplinary action, including termination. Internal theft may also result in criminal prosecution and a negative reference. The unauthorized use of company property or proprietary information is considered internal theft. For example, employees may not use copy machines, computers, company products, or office supplies for personal use without prior authorization. The company reserves the right to inspect all packages entering or leaving the Company’s premises. No Retaliation Harrell’s prohibits any form of discipline, reprisal, intimidation, or retaliation for reporting any concern about workplace security or cooperating in related investigations.
