to Human Resources include but are not limited to requests for verifications of employment, employment references, questions regarding whether the individual would be rehired, and requests for comments regarding performance or termination of employment from any outside agency, organization, or person. Strict observance of this policy is required. Any policy violation may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. EXIT INTERVIEW The Company’s policy is to attempt an exit interview of employees who leave the Company. The exit interview aims to provide management with greater insight into employee relations and solicit feedback and suggestions regarding things the Company does well and things it can improve. An employee’s cooperation in the exit interview process will be greatly appreciated. GIFTS AND TIPPING Every customer is entitled to efficient and courteous service, and each vendor is entitled to be treated fairly and professionally. To maintain a high standard of integrity and fair treatment of all of Harrell’s customers and vendors, employees should not receive gifts, tips, or gratuities from any customer or vendor except solely as described in this section. Suppose an individual presses an employee to accept such a gift or tip. In that case, the employee should thank them but explain that company policy makes accepting any gift, tip, or gratuity impossible. Occasionally, a customer may wish to show appreciation for extraordinary service by providing things of minor or incidental value to an employee. Harrell’s will permit an employee to occasionally accept a small gift from a customer valued at less than $20 if the gift is reported immediately to management. All other gifts, as well as monetary tips or gratuities, require the approval of Human Resources. Harrell’s recognizes that, especially at the end of the year, vendors and customers may send unsolicited gifts to the office, often addressed to a particular employee. If an employee receives such a gift, that employee is required to report the gift to their supervisor immediately. MEDIA CONTACT Media contacts about Harrell’s current and potential products, partners, customers, and competitors should be referred for coordination and guidance to the Marketing Department. This does not specifically include opinions, writing, and interviews on topics aside from the Company’s current and potential products, partners, customers, and competitors.
