What is Family STEM Quest?
Why It Matters Family STEM Quest is more than just an event; it’s a catalyst for change. In Los Angeles County, where approximately 35% of students live in low-income households, access to quality STEM education is often limited. Family STEM Quest creates a unique opportunity for families to connect, learn, and grow together while exploring the endless opportunities STEM offers. By making STEM accessible, fun, and engaging, this event helps to build excitement and confidence in future generations, ensuring that every child sees themselves as a scientist, engineer, or innovator. Through your support, this event will bring STEM education to under- resourced communities, inspire young minds, and foster a lifelong passion for discovery and innovation. Together, we can transform curiosity into opportunity and dreams into reality.
Family STEM Quest is an exciting, interactive community event that brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to life for families of all backgrounds and ages. At Family STEM Quest, participants will: SEE the beauty and wonder of STEM in action, discovering how science shapes the world around us and inspires endless possibilities for the future. DO science through hands-on exploration and collaborative problem-solving activities designed to engage minds, spark curiosity, and promote teamwork. KNOW the joy of discovery and the empowering knowledge that comes from learning and creating together. This inaugural event will feature: Interactive Exhibits: Engage with captivating STEM displays and activities hosted by industry experts, educators, and innovators. Dynamic Workshops: Dive into the process of scientific inquiry with workshops tailored for participants of all ages and skill levels. Live Demonstrations: Be amazed by science in action, from chemical reactions to robotics showcases, and everything in between. Collaborative Activities: Families can work together on STEM challenges, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a shared love of learning.
