reminiscent of something from the ‘medieval period’. This was exactly how I described it on air. The infamous incident is now known as the ‘Battle of the Camel.’ Covering the war on Gaza and the latest events in Jerusalem and Sheikh Jarrah were yet another milestone. Although I have worked for a number of television stations, I take pride in my journey with Al Jazeera. It is worth mentioning that none of my memories or milestones could have been achieved without the collective efforts of Al Jazeera’s teams. These milestones, with all their spontaneity and sometimes technical errors, are testimonies to Al Jazeera’s professionalism, credibility and objectivity. They stand as living proof that Al Jazeera is telling the story of the oppressed and the forgotten, even in the darkest of times. Al Jazeera is the voice of the voiceless and it is truly a mighty force.
