“I’m just not one of those people who can keep a good thing to myself!” says Greg. “There are so many different positions and opportunities at Averitt. It’s just a wonderful place to work, and I want others to know!” Before joining Averitt, Greg worked at a competing transportation company for 20 years, and one of the biggest differences he’s experienced at Averitt is our second-to-none culture of associate recognition. Having experienced Driver Appreciation Week celebrations this past September, Greg notes how special it is to be part of a team that appreciates associates like we do. “I tell a lot of people about the different ways Averitt recognizes us, and they are amazed,” says Greg. “Before I worked at Averitt, Driver Appreciation Week was something you really didn’t hear much about. Not many companies really celebrate it like we do. And the way Averitt truly honors their associates – things like giving away gifts and providing meals – that’s just impressive.
