Virtual Paint Booth
OCC’s Collision Repair Program added a new virtual paint booth, expanding classroom opportunities for students. Instructor Lonnie Barnes says the virtual reality training simulator is a game-changer for the program. “It helps the students get immediate feedback and cues for corrections in addition to saving money on materials,” he said. OCC Student Chris Jackson enjoys working with the equipment. “It’s pretty close to real painting,” he said. “It provides you with additional practice, which allows you to work on the areas you need to improve.”
