Does going for a walk sound like a big pain in the back? For those who struggle with chronic back pain, even the basic task of going for a walk can be overwhelming and painful. Back pain can strike at any time. Whether in the upper back, surrounding the neck and shoulders, or in the lower back at the lumbar or sciatica, back pain is something that no one likes to deal with for too long.

The Benefits from Standing Normalweightkidsburnbetween15-25%morecalories at standing desks. Obese kids burn between 25-35% more calories. Kids are more engaged in a standing classroom. Standing prevents orthopedic degradation & dysfunction including back and neck pain, repetitive stress injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, and knee & hip disorders. By encouraging our children to stay active and avoid prolonged sitting, we can actually prevent long-termmovement changes and hopefully lower the incidence of low back pain later in life. This Also Applies To Adults We can all take a page out of this book as more and more research proves that sitting is a major factor in the declining health of our country. Today people sit more than ever! Between seated jobs, sitting in front of the TV, driving, using mobile devices and oh yeah sitting to take a rest from all the sitting, sitting is deteriorating our posture, increasing back and hip dysfunction, increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease and causing more of us to have poor health in our late stage life which is preventing the elderly from doing the things they love. Our Mission is to help people get back to doing the things they love, naturally, without pain or dysfunction and becoming a better version of themselves then ever before, so lets get on board this school year, get out of our chairs and stand up to poor health.

As our children go back to school this Fall, I wanted to highlight a recent initiative beginning across America called “Stand Up Kids”, aimed at helping keep kids healthier and more engaged at school. In one of the most effective preventative efforts in recent years, the mission of Stand Up Kids is to outfit every public school in America with a stand-up desk to keep our children active, engaged, and healthier into adulthood within the next 10 years. Here are some startling facts concerning our kids inactivity in school: The Frequency of Sitting The average U.S. student is sitting at school an average of 4.5 HOURS A DAY. For kids ages 8-18, an additional 7 HOURS A DAY in front of a screen, regardless of socioeconomic status. By combining all of the sitting our children perform throughout the day, you can see our kids are sitting 85% of their waking hours! No wonder we have one of the highest rates of low back pain as we age. Studies show that even adding on physical activity (gym class, after school sports, etc) to a sedentary lifestyle is not enough to counteract all of the negative effects of sitting.

“Relieve Back Pain with Just A Few Steps” Fixing Your Stride

Print sudoku http://1sudoku.com 3 8 1. Make sure that you are wearing the right types of shoes. While the golden rule for walking is to wear sneakers, not all sneakers are created equally. You need to wear a sneaker that is going to provide you with the arch support that meets your individual needs. This may mean upgrading from your minimal support sneaker to something more athletically designed. 2. Try a custom insert in your shoe. Of course, you can’t wear sneakers all the time. When you are at the office, professional footwear matters. You may find it helpful to have custom orthotics made for your work shoes so that you can have more arch support around the clock. 3. Work on improving your posture. If you are slouching when you walk, then that may be impacting the way that your back feels. Take a few minutes in the morning and again in the afternoon to stretch your back, and then make a point of keeping your shoulders square and your back straight as you walk. Simply standing tall may alleviate some of your back pain. 1 3 7 5 4 7 9 2 5 9 1 6 2 4 4 3 2 SUDOKU PUZZLE Try this exercise for your mind 1 6 http://1sudoku.com n° 310547 - LevelHard When you are experiencing regular back pain—especially if you are experiencing back pain while walking—you should consider ways that you can reduce back pain by taking small steps to support your back. Solo: A Star Wars Story is a stand-alone adventure about a young Han Solo, that takes place several years before he teams up with Luke and Leia. The movie reveals details about the infamous smuggler’s past -- like how he became the captain of the Millennium Falcon and how he met legendary characters like Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian. Expect lots of peril, chases, and action, including scenes of large- scale ground warfare as well as shoot-outs, and spacecraft battles. Solo , like most spin-offs, isn’t strictly necessary, but it’s still massively entertaining when it gets things right. A couple of key moments will definitely make fans cheer (mostly having to do with the Millennium Falcon). There are several well-performed supporting roles, especially among the women. Clarke, who’s best known as the Mother of Dragons on Game of Thrones , is great as Han’s often underestimated partner in crime. By the end, audiences will feel even more intensely for Han Solo, knowing more about his victories and losses as a younger man and a special revel into his past!
