SGS receives license from PEC for CPD (continuous professional development) SGS Pakistan received the license from PEC as Professional Engineering Body to work under “PEC Professional Development of Engineers Byelaws-2008”, to carry out Continuing Professional Development activities to the Registered Engineers (Res) and Professional Engineers (PEs). The license was issued in the month of June this year and is good news for all the technical personnel, who want to pursue with the CPD activities and trainings with SGS Pakistan.

SGS brings “DROPS” (Drop Object Prevention Scheme, UK) to Pakistan SGS Pakistan has recently acquired DROPS (DROP OBJECT PREVENTION SCHEME, UK) Certification for Survey on Land Drilling Rigs, considering the substantial potential and need of the upstream market to prevent hazards associated with falling objects. DROPS is an industry-wide initiative focused on preventing dropped objects, with the goal of delivering a second nature dropped objects prevention strategy across the industry. Within the oil and gas sector, everyone knows the potential cost of a dropped object as It’s not just about equipment damage and lost production. It’s about life!

SGS Pakistan introduces third party inspection in Singapore under SRO-604 Good news for all those who are dealing with solar related equipment in the country, as SGS Pakistan has opened a new region for pre-shipment inspections under SRO-604, which is Singapore. This is an addition to the already existing services in China and Dubai. SRO-604 is a mandatory requirement to import solar equipment in Pakistan, therefore SGS Pakistan has started this service as part of regional expansion to fulfil clients’ inspection needs. As Singapore is a hub of electronics, this comes as good news for the importers who intend to import from the country.

SGS Pakistan introduces e-learning solution! TRANSFORMING TRAINING THROUGH DIGITAL LEARNING

SGS Pakistan is glad to announce that it is now a member of the IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) FTY 2021 & 2022. This membership was officially granted in the month of October this year. The primary objective for this membership is to improve industry health, safety, and environmental practices based on international standards. The scheme focuses on advance drilling and completion technology, responsible standards, practices, legislation, and regulations that provide for safe, efficient, and environmentally sound drilling operations worldwide.

As online learning becomes a norm during covid and post covid times and the e-learning platforms have been witnessing an exponential growth by the education and corporate sectors because of the ease of accessing the content on few clicks from anywhere.
