LEGAL BUSINESS SKILLS MODULE

In this module, you will develop a core understanding of legal business skills. These are the key skills required of a newly qualified solicitor entering a legal practice.

This module will offer you: Full access to the College’s Canvas Learning Portal and virtual community Multimedia presentations, workbook scenarios and skills activities for each unit, to access as and when you like Regular one-to-one supervision with an expert practitioner Full access to all online legal resources including Lexis Nexis and WestLaw Personal development against a clear competency framework Assessments through portfolio submissions, reflective statement (1500 words) and an oral assessment with a supervisor. Entry requirements Undergraduate degree or equivalent English language qualifications (e.g. IELTS) if English isn’t your first language You should have a strong grounding in legal knowledge prior to taking this module. For example, evidenced by the completion of a SQE1 preparation course or having passed the SQE1 assessment.

Credits for LLM in Legal Practice 10 at FHEQ Level 7 Course options

Modules can be started and completed flexibly over a 12-week or 24-week period. You can complete a module full-time in as little as six weeks. Modules will be offered around the SQE preparation courses to support professional development whilst

qualifying. Timing
