S helby Thorne wants you to fall in love with the home you have now. As the owner of Thornehouse Design, Thorne helps clients create spaces within their homes that are both beautiful and functional, eye-catching yet liveable. “I love to come alongside people to help them see the potential for their homes and where they should first focus their attention,” she says. “Oftentimes clients reach out to me because they’re overwhelmed and aren’t sure where to start. Encouraging them to begin with the space(s) where they would most benefit from an improved layout, an increase in functionality and an intentional design gives them clarity with decision making and the confidence to move forward.” While Thorne works on all sorts of homes, she admits, “Century homes will always have my heart!” Thorne and her husband own a 148-year-

which “we’re very excited to see come together for these families! So much of our lives seems to take place gathered around our kitchens, and so we’re passionate about offering our clients both a curated and custom design as well as an intentional floor plan and one that provides them with tremendous functionality and storage capacity.”
The future of Thornehouse Design? “Stay tuned,” Thorne says.
