WE meticulously transformed the main floor bathroom, a dual-purpose space that also functions as a laundry room, all within its original small footprint. To enhance the perceived spaciousness, we replaced the original, orange-toned pine trim and baseboards with a simple picture frame profile, coated in the soft hue of Simply White by Benjamin Moore (the same colour applied to the walls and cabinetry). A sophisticated upgrade included replacing the old insert tub with a captivating grey zellige tile on the walls. Simultaneously, the worn out floor tiles were removed and replaced with a new tile that complements the bathroom’s organic aesthetic.
The chosen tile, with its textured look, harmonizes seamlessly with the thick creamy grout lines, creating a nuanced and weathered visual appeal.
TOP (L&R): The dated vanity gave way to a bespoke inset design, characterized by deliberate narrow edges that significantly improved accessibility to the shelving area. What was once a closed cabinetry section was opened up, incorporating drywall and installing remnant ash custom shelves, adding both warmth and visual interest to the space. BOTTOM: Finally, we designed and implemented a built-in laundry station, complete with pocket doors that discreetly enclose a stackable washer and dryer. This strategic addition maximizes square footage, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow, maintaining a tidy workspace, and amplifying overall functionality.
