I really didn’t miss much of their activities, school events, sports, or even if they got sick and Mirna Dow has always been passionate about fashion, so when she came into the Dow family, George Dow, the former owner of Dow’s Fashion, knew exactly who he wanted to help run the ladies’ wear department. “He must have seen the potential in me,” Mirna recalls. Despite her having no background in retail or business, she says, “He knew I was a quick learner, observant and definitely loved fashion, and if he surrounded me with experienced staff, I would be learning lots from them and that is exactly what happened.”
