Is your Mother’s mahj set collecting dust? Do you know that “BAM! & CRACK!” are not just terms in the comic strips but also part of the game of Mahj? Mah Jongg is a tile game that requires critical thinking, situational awareness, social intelligence to play it well and provides countless hours of fun! Fern Grunberger, mahj enthusiast, will be teaching women and men who have never played mahj. This class is only for beginners. The sound of the clicking tiles will be music to your ears as you will be playing in no time. Bring your official National Mah Jongg League 2025 card (hands and rules) or purchase a card ($15 exact change please) from instructor at the first class. Trivia Practice for The Mind Challenge Instructor: City of Beachwood

Now in its seventh year and beginning on April 21, 2025, The Mind Challenge is a trivia game for active seniors modeled after the popular NCAA Tournament. A trivia host conducts the tournament where teams compete against other communities to advance to each of 6 rounds of competition from April 21 through May 29. Team Beachwood has been involved since the inaugural year and finised 4th in 2023! Everyone has knowledge that adds strength to the team. Let’s start getting ready! Trivia practice is open to all so give it a try. If you are interested in joining the team for competition beginning in April, call 216- 292-1970 before March 1.
