A MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF THE COLES COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF MSHMI
The MSHMI program continues to attract top-tier students thanks in no small part to the growing network of industry partners that have pledged their support to its mission and its goals. In addition to providing a critical advisory role, our partners are directly involved in every aspect of the program. This includes helping develop the curriculum, offering students access to valuable professional development and skill-building opportunities, aiding students in building their industry networks, and, in the case of our collaborative research projects, sharing data and resources with students exploring technology-driven solutions to modern healthcare challenges. A hallmark of the MSHMI program is that it bridges the gap between multiple healthcare and technology disciplines while also bridging the gap between academic study and real-world application. Working together, our students and our industry partners are making positive changes that will enhance the experience of doctors, patients, and everyone involved in the healthcare delivery process. These partnerships are an essential part of what makes the MSHMI program the only program of its kind in Georgia.
A Year of Growth and New Opportunities Success is never achieved alone. It grows through shared effort and the support we give one another over time. It is a pleasure to welcome you to this year’s Digital Healthcare Transformations Summit. This is an exciting time for the HMI program. We are celebrating the graduation of Cohort 9, a group that has worked hard and is ready to step into the next stage of their careers. At the same time, Cohort 10 is nearing the end of their first year and continues to grow as they move forward in the program. Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to serve as Director of the HMI program. It has been a very rewarding experience to work closely with our students and to see their dedication and motivation. Their energy continues to shape the direction of the program. Looking ahead, we are focused on strengthening our connections with industry and creating more opportunities for our students to engage beyond the classroom. Through initiatives such as the Digital Health Transformation Summit, the HMI Hackathon, and our growing network of industry collaborators, we are working to provide experiences that connect learning with real-world impact. We are grateful for the continued support from our partners and alumni. Your involvement plays an important role in helping our students grow and succeed. Thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to what we can build together.
