Though soap and laundry detergent are made with goat's milk, Flory also ensures she ethically sources local products, including lip balm, room and body spray, roll-on perfume, scented candles, and natural deodorant. Products like farm fresh chicken, eggs, and goat meat are available at Island Hill Farm year-round. As Flory looks as what she's accomplished and what is to come, she's incredibly excited about her future, and that of Island Hill Farm. “I’m moving my Shoppe closer to the Farmhouse to make it more accessible for the public year-round. We always have plans in development, though I

can't say all of them. My team says the hardest part is slowing me down,” she said. “In the future we plan to develop our own cheese here, whether it is made on site or we source it out." She is looking to export soap in the future and is always focused on creating new products. Mostly, though, Flory is excited to continue to grow the venture that has made her family happy. You milk your goats, freeze the milk, put your chosen ingredients together, mix them, pour the soap into your moulds, let it rest for 24 to 48 hours, release the soap from its moulds, hand slice and hand stamp each bar and then set on the rack to cure,” she says.
