PEIL Fall21-NEW

HOME & COTTAGE EDITOR

IT’S A WONDERFUL SEASON

Inside this edition you will meet the faces behind local businesses, explore shopping destinations, great places to dine, fabulous fashions, find mouthwatering recipes, and... so much more. The last 18 months of COVID-19 has resulted in most of us spending more time at home, especially with the up and down rollercoaster of restrictions. The upside is that most homeowners and renters are tackling home improvements which is fueling our local economy. This has been one of, if not, the busiest of past years for designers, architects, contractors, building supply stores, tradespersons and all the other businesses that are making it happen. Like many of our readers, our home has and is also undergoing long put off renovations and freshening up.

Presently, we are in the midst of having updating our kitchen, laundry room and the addition of new built in storage areas. I’m excited to see the end product of months of planning, organizing and scheduling. I hope to share it with you in a future issue. In the Home and Cottage section we are giving our readers expert advice, practical tips and inspiration in our Stylemaker feature on pages 44 and 45. I am very pleased to introduce our readers to some of our local designers. These are the creative faces behind the Island’s diverse interior design industry. With the holiday season fast approaching I want to take the opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and a properous new year.
