And the steps to creating a beautiful home aren’t necessarily daunting, even if you hope to make a few changes at once. aesthetically pleasing— it’s also comforting to Tops to Floors co-owner Mitch Arsenault says customers often expect home projects to be complicated; at times, he finds himself setting them straight on the simplicity of the process. “People don’t realize that Tops to Floors is a one-stop supply and install shop,” he muses. “No longer do you have to go to a flooring store, cabinet store, tile store and stair builder. We offer everything to help complete your project.” Mitch’s co-owner David Arsenault says that’s equally true at each Tops to Floors location (the business has branches in Charlottetown and Travellers Rest). Neither store focuses exclusively on a specific department or product type. Both carry abundant laminate and hardwood flooring, as well as bathroom, window and kitchen supplies and products (including custom designs). Crucially, both locations also provide access to skilled designers. “Our in-house designers have a combined forty-plus years of experience and knowledge, which they bring to each project they work on,” says David. “Most customers come in for start-to- finish help with their projects,” explains Lauren Williams, Charlottetown’s on-staff cabinet designer. “We can help with design aspects, supplying materials, and installing those materials.” Lauren’s fellow designer in Charlottetown is Mary-Jo Fortin, while Shelley Jackson and Emilie MacNeill
