than import vases. It just makes good sense. Reuse is the first commandment for saving the environment, and we can reuse thousands of glass vases and containers.” Being as sustainable as possible is important to Hearts & Flowers. “As long as we have been in business, we’ve always sourced flowers that are grown on PEI, in the Maritimes and in Ontario,” says Preston. “Local Canadian grown flowers are always the freshest. We have grown and still do grow some of our own flowers to supply our shop with the freshest larkspur, delphinium, peonies, and sunflowers. It is a beautiful part of our job to help these kind and caring people.”
