There’s no doubt about it: the start of the colder weather puts shoppers into the holiday spirit. While online shopping remains a popular option for consumers, most Islanders know there’s something special about in-person shopping, especially around the holidays. A definite must place for in-person shopping is Royalty Crossing, formerly known as the Charlottetown Mall. The Holiday Spirit is at ROYALTY CROSSING By Brianne Hogan Photos Sara Bakker HOLIDAY 2021
“T here is a great vibe at the Centre during Christmas,” says Tracey Barrett of Killam Apartment REIT. “The Centre is beautifully decorated, the Christmas music is playing, it’s warm and inviting, and the shops all have their Christmas stock out.” With 44 stores, from Winners to La Vie en Rose to Boathouse to the Body Shop to Pseudio, there is an array of stores available for everyone on your shopping list at every price point. “During the holiday season, we have more of a connection with our customers,” says Molly Brookins, Boathouse’s store manager. “We can put our retail skills and expertise to good use and really dive into helping our clients and be a part of their Christmas shopping experience with them.” Adds Rory Gordon, Pseudio’s store manager: “I love making a connection to clients so I can positively impact their shopping experience. I love making a difference by giving someone a hand, inspiring them with some ideas, and helping them choose clothes they might not choose for themselves.”
