to set up their annual Let their Light Shine Tree fundraising campaign. Shoppers who like a good deal can look forward to the Boxing Day specials available throughout the Centre. Doors open on December 27 th with sales running into the New Year. While online shopping might seem easier, especially during these hectic times, Barrett says there’s nothing like an in-person shopping experience. “The advantage to in-store shopping is that a person has the item in hand to try on, test, feel the texture, fabric, explore features like material, stretchiness or sizing length. It’s the reliability and ease to purchase the gift immediately and not have to wait for shipping delays or incur other handling fees or items gone missing in transit. Fulfillment therefore is immediate and on the spot.” And, of course, nothing beats the infectious festive spirit that makes Christmas shopping so enjoyable. “I like the energy and the spirit of the mall during the Christmas season,” says Gordon. “It’s very chipper and happy. You get to see everyone from the Island. Who doesn’t like to dance around and shop for some awesome gifts?”
