Split is a 13-year-old mare who has proven herself to be a dependable partner for our entire family. Whether it’s doctoring cattle in the pasture, packing my wife and 10-year-old daughter safely through rough mountain terrain, or helping my 6-year-old son gather cows, Split handles every job with class and style. She is kind, willing, and ready for whatever the day holds. We have used Split to gather large pastures of cattle and sheep, sort and ship, and rope and doctor cattle in the pasture. We love Classy! Bred and raised here, she has the brain, beauty and bod that we are proud to see! She has been unwaveringly kind and safe for nearly every level of rider. She’s been on countless miles of trails, done tasks on the ranch, given rides to little kids, been in horsemanship clinics- even carried a banner in the Wyoming State Fair Parade. Her best mode is slow-n-steady, but she is no deadhead either! She is respectful and responsive to cues, has exceptional handle and is comfortable in all gaits, especially her trot.
