HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS Natalie’s Inspiring Journey in Homebuilding
Stonewood WATKINSVILLE, GA Summerville ATHENS, GA Yellowstone Farm CUMMING, GA
For over eight years, I’ve enjoyed working at SR Homes and helping countless individuals create their dream homes. My name is Natalie, and I currently work as SR Homes’ marketing director. There’s nothing more rewarding than working with homeowners and helping them bring their visions to life, but I never would have imagined I would be in this position when I was younger. My original career path looked much different than what I’m doing today.
construction, managing builders and our communities before transitioning into a marketing role. I’ve been lucky enough to dabble in nearly every aspect of the business, but I’m still learning and growing! When you work with SR Homes, your home is just as important to us as it is to you. We love creating a product we can call special. It means a lot to me personally, which is why I try my hardest to learn about and understand each homeowner. This allows us to add some of their personality and personal touches directly to each home. While I love my job, I also stay incredibly busy outside of work. I have twins who love participating in sports, academics, and other endeavors. We’re constantly at games or practices, especially right now, as one kid is in football, and the other is in competitive cheer. It’s just so nice watching them excel in their activities while also getting incredible enjoyment from them. Once the kids go to bed every night, my husband and I make an effort to put our phones down, watch some of our favorite shows, and enjoy some time with each other and our English bulldog, Titus! As we approach Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for everything in my life. I recently celebrated two years in remission from colon cancer, which was my second battle with the infamous illness. I’m stronger now, and the journey helped me realize what’s most important in my life. Thanksgiving holds a special place in my heart because it’s when my family comes together to share a meal and celebrate life and each other. I hope you have a wonderful month! Please let us know if there’s anything we can do for you! –Natalie Sitz
“I’m stronger now, and the journey helped me realize what’s most important in my life.”
When I was in school and deciding on an area of study, I decided to explore early childhood development. My mom was a teacher, and I thought following in her footsteps was the perfect plan for me. However, I quickly realized my skill set and personality didn’t perfectly align with a career in early education, so I decided to pivot. About 13 years ago, I fell into the construction industry after applying for a job with a company that focused on multifamily renovations. That business had a residential side that helped homeowners with roofing claims, and that’s where I fell in love with the industry. In this role, I worked closely with homeowners, and I had moments when I felt like their hero because I could help them fix their roofs after intense storms. I realized this was my way to help people, and I wanted more. Over time, I got more involved and explored the world of new construction. I worked for another company for a short time before discovering SR Homes. It didn’t take long to recognize this was where I wanted to work. Their family-oriented environment spoke to me, and everyone was so welcoming from day one. I started in

Transform Your Workspace With These Simple Tips CREATE A PRODUCTIVE SANCTUARY
KEEP IT CLEAN A cluttered, disorganized, and dirty workspace will distract you no matter what. So, take a few hours at the beginning or end of every week to clean up your area by wiping down surfaces and putting everything in its home. A great way to make this easier is to have organizers or trays for all your items. That way, you won’t have pens, papers, or other items all over your desk. Additionally, keep a small trash can in your room, preferably under your desk, to prevent garbage from piling up. PERSONALIZE If you want your workspace to inspire you, it needs to reflect your goals, personality, and values. Add items to your workspace that make you smile, whether pictures of loved ones, candles with scents you enjoy, or even a few toys like your favorite action figure or Funko Pop! Another great thing to include in your workspace is a vision board outlining your future goals and desires. Looking at something to inspire and encourage you can go a long way toward accomplishing your goals. ADD COLOR Avoid the dreary blues and blacks that make up most people’s workspaces. Instead, add your favorite colors to the area through your keyboard, mousepad, and decor. If you’re feeling adventurous, add string lights to the bottom of your desk to give your workspace a colorful glow.
How you set up your workspace can be the difference between being productive and falling into a pit of procrastination. If you have a cluttered, unkempt, and drab desk and work area, you may lack the inspiration to produce your best work, regardless of the project or task you’re working on. If you’re unsure how to improve your workspace, don’t stress; we’ve gathered a few easy-to-implement tips to help refresh your area.
Construction Clarity Essential Tips for Buying a Home Under Construction
When you’re looking to buy a home, you need to consider several things before making an offer. Of course, you have to figure out if you can afford the mortgage payments comfortably or if the house has enough bedrooms and bathrooms for your needs. However, when buying a home that’s under construction or in a new development, there are unique things you should consider. Here are three other things to keep in mind to ensure you make the right decision. THE BUILDER’S REPUTATION AND TRACK RECORD This is probably the most critical thing potential buyers should look for. Take time to look into the builder’s history and past projects. Read reviews
from other buyers who have worked with the builder in the past. If possible, visit completed homes or communities the builder worked on to assess the quality of their work. A reliable builder is essential to ensuring the home is constructed well and completed on time. WARRANTIES When you purchase a home that’s been around for decades, you’re usually stuck with what you get. However, when you buy a brand-new home, warranties often come with the deal regarding structural issues, workmanship, and coverage for systems like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. You may have to opt in, but these warranties can help save on future repair costs and ensure peace of mind.
JOBSITE CLEANLINESS This may not have been on your radar at all, but if possible, you should visit the job site to see if it’s clean during the construction process. If the builder takes pride in the job site when construction occurs, you’re likely working with a builder who truly cares about their work. While at the job site, consider asking for a pre-drywall walk so you can ask the builder questions about the structural and electrical layout.

Nothing is more exciting than gathering with recent homebuyers and hearing all their wonderful stories about their experience with us. We recently held a special event at one of our new communities to show our appreciation for those who have moved there or are planning to move there. It was a fun night filled with bonfires, s’mores, popcorn, and football on the big screen. While at the event, we asked recent homebuyers about their experience, and their answers filled our hearts with warmth and joy. It was a great reminder of why we do what we do, and we’d love to share some of their views with you! Joe and Laura Greer: “We’ve never been happier. We’re second-time SR Homes homeowners. We were formerly in the Montebello community, and we moved from there because we were searching for a master on main and decided to stick with an SR Homes build. The layout is perfect. We’ve never been happier. The neighborhood here is so peaceful; you feel like you’re very far from the city but not that far from anything. We’ve been very pleased, and we love it!” Ken Hollenbeck: “We moved in almost two months ago and absolutely love it. The home is gorgeous. We love the neighborhood; it’s quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend looking into buying a home here. We love the area; it’s so quiet, and you can easily get to many different things, but it feels like you’re out in the country. We’ve met our neighbors, and everyone is great. It’s a good mix with a couple of families with small kids and older folks like us. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. It’s been an awesome experience moving in here. We love it!”

For most people, the kitchen is the most popular room in the home. It’s where you prepare and eat meals, snack on snacks, and make memories with loved ones. However, finding the right aesthetic when items clutter your counter space can be difficult. We have a few ideas to help you tighten your countertop. REMOVE SMALL APPLIANCES You don’t need to keep your air fryer, blender, or slow cooker out. Unless you use an appliance daily, stick it in the pantry or a kitchen cabinet.
